Booking Terms
Draft for reviewThe rules that apply when you book paid travel advice with TripKindly.
Version 2026-10-06 · last updated . The version you accept before paying applies to your booking.
1. The service
TripKindly provides independent travel advice for Mauritius, Rodrigues and selected areas of Thailand. The advice is personal and written: for example accommodation areas, getting around, activity ideas, airport guidance, scam awareness and useful essentials.
The advice helps you make your own decisions. TripKindly is not a travel agent or tour operator: it does not sell, book or guarantee flights, accommodation, transport, activities or any other third-party service, and it cannot guarantee a provider’s prices, availability, quality or safety. Please check important details (opening times, prices, entry rules, conditions) with the provider before you rely on them.
2. Your own travel bookings
You choose and book any travel services yourself, directly with the provider, under that provider’s own terms and prices. Links and contacts shared by TripKindly are for your convenience.
The US$15 one-day plan add-on is a written plan for one travel day. It is not a booking service: provider charges are separate and paid by you.
3. Packages and prices
- Quick Guidance: US$10 per travelling group — 4 support hours, counted only within opening hours; no personalised day plan included.
- Travel Guidance: US$25 per travelling group — 24 support hours, counted only within opening hours; no personalised day plan included; the one-day plan add-on (US$15) can be added.
- Travel Companion: US$100 per travelling group — 5 calendar days; includes up to three daily activity plans, requested during the support period; the one-day plan add-on (US$15) can be added.
Prices are in US dollars (USD) and cover one travelling group, with one person as the contact. The one-day plan add-on is available only with Travel Guidance or Travel Companion, for groups of up to 15. The amount you pay is the amount shown on your booking review before payment.
The free 15-minute introduction is a short website conversation about the service. It is not a planning session and it is separate from paid support.
4. Opening hours, time zone and support clock
All times are Mauritius time (UTC+4). Written replies are given during opening hours, 07:00–19:00 Mauritius time.
- Quick Guidance: 4 support hours, counted only within 07:00–19:00 and paused overnight, from the start you book.
- Travel Guidance: 24 support hours, counted only within 07:00–19:00 and paused overnight, from the start you book.
- Travel Companion: ends at the same Mauritius time five days after the start you book; replies are given during opening hours.
Support follows the confirmed schedule shown on your booking page. Paying early, opening WhatsApp or sending a message early does not start it sooner, and starting late does not move its end.
The first-reply target during your booked hours is 15 minutes. This is a target, not a guaranteed response time.
5. WhatsApp, group contact and languages
- Paid advice is given in written WhatsApp messages. There are no phone or video calls.
- After your booking is confirmed, your booking page (and confirmation email) lets you open WhatsApp with a prepared first message. Nothing is sent until you press Send.
- One person acts as the contact for the whole travelling group. The booking contact must be 18 or over. Other travellers make their own decisions; please share their details only as far as the advice needs, and let them know how information is used (see the Privacy notice).
- Children are welcome in your group. Their number and age ranges are enough when they matter for the advice; names, birth dates or documents aren’t needed.
- Advice is available in English or French.
6. Booking, payment and reservations
- You choose an available start: at least 90 minutes ahead (counted within opening hours), on a 5-minute grid, within the booking window shown.
- When you reserve, your start is held for 30 minutes for payment. A pending PayPal payment does not extend this hold.
- Payment is made through PayPal in USD. Approving a payment in the PayPal window is not yet a confirmation: your booking is confirmed when TripKindly’s system has verified the payment with PayPal and confirmed your time.
- If a payment completes after the hold has ended and your time is no longer available, the payment is kept and you choose another available time without paying again.
7. Changing your start (voluntary reschedule)
You may make one voluntary change of start time per paid booking, requested at least 60 minutes before the current start and subject to availability. Your payment moves to the new time; a change does not issue a refund.
Choosing this change is instead of a change-of-mind refund: after a voluntary change, an ordinary change-of-mind refund no longer applies. You can still report a problem with the service afterwards (section 10).
A new time that TripKindly arranges because it could not provide your support, or because a late payment needs a new time, is not a voluntary change and does not use your one change.
8. Cancelling an unused booking
You can ask to cancel from your booking page at least 60 minutes before the confirmed start (exactly 60 minutes counts). The time your request is received is what counts, not the time it is reviewed.
If the booking is entirely unused — support has not begun, no requested planning work has started and you have not used the voluntary change — you can choose either a refund or your one change of time.
The refund is the amount you paid less the PayPal receiving fee actually charged on your payment that PayPal does not return when a payment is refunded. The exact fee is taken from your payment’s PayPal record and shown to you when the refund is approved. No other fee is deducted (no flat charge, administration fee or bank fee). If the fee cannot be verified, your request is reviewed by the adviser rather than estimated.
Example only: on a US$10 payment with a recorded fee of US$0.74, the refund would be US$9.26. Your own payment’s actual fee is used.
A request does not cancel your booking by itself. Once the adviser approves a cancellation, the whole booking ends: its time is released and WhatsApp support for it is no longer available. Refunds are made through PayPal; when the money reaches your account depends on PayPal and your bank or card provider.
9. Late cancellation and non-attendance
- Less than 60 minutes before the start, an ordinary cancellation or voluntary change is not available.
- Once the booked support period has begun, or requested planning work has started, there is no change-of-mind refund.
- Not attending or not sending a question does not by itself give a refund when the booked service was made available.
10. If TripKindly can’t provide your support
If TripKindly cannot provide the support you booked, you will be offered replacement support or a refund for the part that was not provided. If nothing was provided, the refund is the full amount you paid, with no fee deducted. This also applies after a voluntary change.
If only part of the service was provided, the adviser reviews what was and wasn’t provided, explains the proposed remedy and records your choice. There is no fixed formula for partly used planning.
Report a problem with “Report a problem” on your booking page or by email.
11. Planning limits and delivery targets
- Travel Companion includes up to three daily activity plans, requested during your support period. A plan already prepared or delivered is not refundable merely because of a change of mind.
- The one-day plan add-on (US$15) covers one travel day for one group.
- Personalised planning is for groups of up to 15 travellers. For a larger group, please contact TripKindly before buying Travel Companion or the add-on.
- The delivery target for a plan is 24 hours once the request, the details needed and any add-on payment are ready. This is a target, not a guarantee. How the plan is shared is agreed in your conversation.
12. Questions and complaints
Email tripkindly2309@gmail.com with your booking reference. An unresolved complaint is not treated as rejected; it stays open until it has been answered.
These booking rules are TripKindly’s business policies. They do not take away any rights you have under the law that applies to you, or your right to complain or to dispute a payment.
13. Privacy and changes to these terms
How information is used and kept is explained in the Privacy notice.
These terms may be updated. Each version is dated; the version you accepted when you booked applies to that booking.
